AHS BAND: The Pride of Albuquerque!
News Updates:
*AHS Marching Band won 9th place in preliminary competition and 10th place in finals at the Zia Marching Band Fiesta on Saturday, October 22nd.
*AHS Marching Band won 2nd in division AAAA at Pageant of the Bands October 8, 2011. See the video of their performance
*The Albuquerque High School Jazz Band 1 gets selected as the 2012 New Mexico Honor Jazz Band for New Mexico Music Educators All State Conference in Albuquerque!
*AHS Jazz Band 1 gets straight 1s at the UNM Jazz festival and earned a Superior rating award.
*AHS Jazz Band 1 gets straight 1s at the Albuquerque Jazz Festival and earned a Superior rating award along with many outstanding soloist awards.
*In 2010-2011: 10 Students were selected for All-State, 5 students were selected for All-State Jazz, 8 students were selected for Southwest Honor Band.
